  • Nifty!

I ordered this because I need a reading and seeing light by the bed, and I needed to cut back on extraneous wires and cables. Bought it, charged it on a windowsill, used it, loved it! Perfecto! It has two settings and both are adequate for my nighttime needs.

  • A great item!

I must say, this is one of the better purchases I’ve made in a while. I actually have a pair of these lanterns. Obviously, these are eminently useful during power outages and such, but I actually find a daily use for these. I haven’t used the USB charger for the light so I can’t speak to that, but the solar charger works perfectly. I set it on a window sill before I leave for work. At night, when I go to bed, I collect them….I hang one over my daughter’s bed and set one on a shelf of my bedframe. The light is bright enough to illuminate my room…not full brightness, but bright enough to see, and more than enough light to read by…which is what I really use mine for. I’ll read until I fall asleep, and the light isn’t so bright that it keeps me up. When I get up in the morning (typically 6 hours later), the light is still on. I use the lower of the two settings and had timed it, the charge does, in fact, last for 8 hours. I really can’t recommend this enough. Works great! I’ll probably buy a couple more personally.
